TRON has two "fuels"
- Bandwidth: simple transfers; 600 free per day (~5 TRX transfers).
- Energy: smart-contract calls (TRC20 token transfers counts) — this is where most cost lives.
A TRC20 token transfers burns roughly 65,000 Energy. Without staking or renting, the network burns ~13–25 TRX (≈ 1–2 USD) per call.
Why some people pay zero
Two routes:
Route 1 — stake TRX yourself
- On tronscan.org use Stake 2.0 to stake TRX → receive Energy quota.
- 1,000 TRX staked ≈ 70,000 Energy / day.
- Best for: heavy users (> 5 transfers / day).
Route 2 — rent energy
Markets like feee.io and tronnrg.com let you rent energy per transaction:
- Pay ~0.5 TRX, the platform delegates 65,000 Energy to you for 1 hour.
- Send your transfer in that hour → 0 on-chain fee.
- Best for: occasional large transfers.
How to use feee.io
- Open the site, enter your TRON address.
- Pick the "TRC20 token transfers pack".
- Pay in TRX from a supported wallet.
- Once delegated, immediately send your transfer.
Cost comparison (100 TRC20 token transfers)
| Method | Cost | |--------|------| | Do nothing | 100–200 USD | | Rent energy | 30–60 USD | | Stake 1,000 TRX | One-off lock + 0 fees |
